People Operations & HRIS Specialist

About the role

As our People Operations & HRIS Specialist, you'll enhance employee experience by delivering high‑quality HR services, managing international payroll processes, and leveraging modern HR technology. You'll play a key role in ensuring smooth and efficient people operations and payroll processes, while driving automation and self‑service solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide HR support throughout the employee lifecycle, advising on employment conditions, policies, collective agreements, labor laws, benefits, time & attendance, and payroll topics.
• Collaborate with the HR Compensation & Operations Lead and external payroll vendors on total compensation, payroll, and benefits matters.
• Develop HR ticket‑management tools, processes, and a Knowledge Base together with the People & Culture team.
• Act as an admin user of HRIS HiBob (Core, Time & Attendance, Talent, Compensation) and exploit AI capabilities such as Claude.ai and Co‑pilot.
• Support HR system updates, integrations, and related projects to improve employee data management and operational efficiency.
• Maintain a regular People & Culture presence in the Tampere office and work closely with the core leadership team and external vendors.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in HR operations & payroll, including multi‑country payroll exposure, preferably in an international growth/scale‑up IT environment.
• Strong understanding of HR tools, data management, and HRIS administration.
• Hands‑on experience as a HiBob HRIS admin user.
• Proven ability to support employees and managers with HR‑related queries.
• Experience working with cross‑functional, international teams.
• Fluent English (written and spoken); Finnish or German is a plus.
