Equipment Sales Engineer

About the role

Trane Technologies, a global leader in climate solutions for buildings, homes and transportation, is looking for an Equipment Sales Engineer in Helsinki. The role focuses on building trusted customer relationships, growing account share and retaining customers in the assigned region, while promoting and selling a broad portfolio of Trane products and, where applicable, selected products from other brands in the company portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out day-to-day selling: identify and qualify sales opportunities, create proposals, negotiate prices and terms within company guidelines and acquire orders.
• Achieve assigned sales and customer development quotas, focusing on industrial and commercial customers.
• Develop complete solutions for customers and grow business with existing customers.
• Partner with the organisation to resolve customer complaints and improve customer satisfaction.
• Develop contract proposals in line with company terms, working with legal.
• Identify and communicate service opportunities and keep internal systems such as the customer database and opportunity pipeline up to date.
• Monitor market trends and competitor benchmarks, and report key metrics to management.
• Take part in marketing activities such as exhibitions and customer events when needed.

Required profile

• Technical university degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Energy or Aeronautical Engineering.
• At least 3 years of proven experience in technical sales, preferably in HVAC (chillers, heat pumps or related equipment).
• Full professional proficiency in Finnish and English.
• Willingness to travel frequently, around 60%, within the assigned area.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently with minimal supervision and to handle changing priorities.
