Data Center Equipment Sales Engineer

About the role

Trane Technologies, a global HVAC market leader, is looking for a Data Center Equipment Sales Engineer to join its newly established office in Finland. You will build trusting customer relationships, maximize account share and retention in your region, and promote and sell equipment solutions to new and existing clients while reaching sales targets.

Key responsibilities

• Drive direct sales of data center cooling and thermal management solutions.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities and manage the full sales process from opportunity identification to order closure.
• Prepare and present customer proposals with internal teams, and negotiate pricing and commercial terms within company guidelines.
• Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers and deliver high customer satisfaction.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and new service opportunities.
• Keep CRM and sales pipeline data accurate and up to date.
• Participate in selected marketing and customer-facing events.

Required profile

• Technical degree, e.g. Mechanical, Electrical, Energy or Aeronautical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of proven experience in technical sales, preferably in the data center or HVAC industry (chillers, CRAH/CRAC units, Fan Wall Units, CDUs).
• Full professional proficiency in Finnish and English.
• Willingness to travel extensively, with about 60% of working time in the field.
• Self-motivated, proactive sales professional with a hunter mindset, able to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Highly organized and comfortable in a dynamic sales environment.
• Preference for direct customer engagement, with active collaboration with colleagues in the office when not on site.
