Business Development Manager

About the role

Klarna is looking for a Business Development Manager to join the Partner Success team in Helsinki. You will manage a portfolio of mid‑to‑enterprise strategic merchants, driving growth, renewals and upsell opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Build data‑driven insights on each merchant and pitch optimisation and growth opportunities.
• Negotiate contracts and upsell agreements directly with senior and C‑suite stakeholders.
• Originate new partnership deals, develop business cases and lead them to closure.
• Collaborate with analysts, product, delivery and marketing teams to solve cross‑functional challenges.
• Act as the named account owner, providing consultative day‑to‑day support.

Required profile

• 5+ years in Business Development, Account Management or Sales managing complex, high‑value merchant portfolios.
• Proven ability to navigate ambiguous, high‑stakes situations with limited oversight.
• Experience building and presenting analytical business cases.
• Strong negotiation skills with senior and C‑suite stakeholders.
• Fluent in Finnish and English.
