Business Development Manager - Grid Automation

About the role

ABB is looking for a Business Development Manager to join its Distribution Solutions division in Vaasa, Finland. The role focuses on proactive business development with selected account customers where business conditions need extra attention, supporting Grid Automation Protection and Control products. It is a hybrid position with frequent global travel of around 100 days per year.

Key responsibilities

• Manage customer specifications and approvals, and customer relationships with internal and external customers
• Manage customer investment portfolios, promotions and customer attention
• Ensure strategies and business plans align with the division strategy to reach defined targets
• Oversee implementation of cross-divisional, product group and regional initiatives
• Support product launches and customer events when required

Required profile

• BSc or MSc degree in a relevant field such as Electric Engineering, Business Administration or similar
• Previous experience or motivation to develop in electric power products
• Experience in business development and sales growth
• Ability to manage large networks of business stakeholders independently
• Active, energetic and open approach to work
• Fluent English and professional communication and presentation skills
• Ability to keep up with new products, skills and markets
• International experience, protection and control devices experience or additional languages are an advantage
