Sales Assistant, Aalto University Shop

About the role

Aalto University is recruiting 4-6 bachelor's and master's degree students to join its Communications Services student employee team, working as student ambassadors in roles such as student marketing, campus tours, event representation and retail. The shop-based Sales Assistant role is based in the Aalto University Shop in Otaniemi, Espoo, serving both external and internal customers. It is a part-time, fixed-term contract until 31 December 2027, with 30-60 hours per month and a starting date of 4 January 2027.

Key responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service in the store, by email and by phone
• Help customers find what they need
• Keep store aesthetics and visual merchandising up to standard
• Restock the store and handle store deliveries
• Process web shop orders
• Represent Aalto University

Required profile

• Currently a bachelor's or master's degree student at Aalto University
• Proactive attitude and passion for customer service
• General knowledge and interest in sales
• Good people skills, able to work both as part of a team and independently
• Good communication skills and ability to manage several tasks at once

Required skills

• Good English and Finnish language skills
