Senior Partnerships Officer

About the role

The United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) is seeking a Senior Partnerships Officer to join the UN Global Pulse team. The role focuses on identifying, cultivating and securing new funding opportunities and strategic partnerships, especially within the Finnish and broader Nordic innovation ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Map and develop a pipeline of prospective partners and donors across the Nordic region.
• Lead prospecting activities, prepare and submit funding proposals, and manage the full partnership lifecycle.
• Coordinate UN Global Pulse participation in high‑level events, workshops and innovation forums.
• Engage with Finnish and Nordic innovators, start‑ups, research institutions and potential donors to explore collaborative opportunities.
• Maintain relationships with existing partners and ensure timely reporting and compliance.

Required profile

• Proven experience in partnership development, donor relations or grants management, preferably in an international or UN context.
• Strong understanding of the Finnish and Nordic innovation ecosystems.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple proposals simultaneously.
