Legal Counsel – M&A Law

About the role

Join EY’s Transaction Law team in Helsinki as a Legal Counsel focused on M&A. This position is ideal for a recent graduate or a lawyer with up to two years of experience who wants to develop expertise in domestic and cross‑border transactions within a global, multidisciplinary environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support domestic and cross‑border M&A transactions throughout the deal lifecycle, working closely with experienced transaction lawyers.
• Conduct and coordinate legal due diligence and identify transaction‑related legal risks.
• Draft, review and negotiate transaction documentation.
• Assist with transaction execution, including signing, closing preparations, corporate approvals and project management.
• Provide legal analyses to support client decision‑making and collaborate with EY’s multidisciplinary network.

Required profile

• Completed Finnish Master of Laws degree or equivalent qualification.
• Recent graduate or up to two years of experience in transaction law.
• Fluency in Finnish and English.
• Strong analytical, legal research and written communication skills.
• Collaborative mindset and interest in legal technology and AI‑driven tools.
