Legal Counsel

About the role

Enity Bank Group is seeking a proactive Legal Counsel to become the primary legal point of contact for its Finnish operations. Based in Helsinki, you will work independently while collaborating with the wider Nordic legal team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice to the Finnish branch on a broad range of banking, mortgage lending, consumer credit and regulatory matters.
• Support the mortgage business with issues related to lending, security, property law, consumer protection, debt collection and insolvency.
• Review marketing materials, customer communications and commercial agreements from a legal and regulatory perspective.
• Monitor Finnish legislation and regulatory developments, ensuring implementation within the branch.
• Assist with customer complaints, disputes and interactions with authorities.
• Prepare internal legal guidance, training and support strategic transactions, including due diligence and integration matters.

Required profile

• Finnish master’s degree in law with at least three years of post‑qualification experience, preferably in banking, finance or a regulated environment.
• Experience in mortgage lending, consumer credit, consumer protection, insolvency, debt collection or financial regulation.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership of matters and collaborate across functions and jurisdictions.
• Strong commercial awareness and the capacity to translate legal requirements into practical advice.

Required skills

• Fluent in Finnish and English; knowledge of Swedish is an advantage.
