Legal Counsel – Finland

About the role

Use your legal expertise to shape the future of the circular economy as a trusted legal partner for NG Nordic’s Finnish business units. You will work independently on a broad range of legal matters, collaborate across the Nordics and support the transition towards a more sustainable economy.

Key responsibilities

• Advise Finnish business units on commercial contracts, including drafting, reviewing and negotiating agreements.
• Provide legal guidance on compliance, corporate governance, competition and environmental law.
• Prepare and develop legal templates and standard agreements.
• Monitor new legislation and regulatory developments and assess their business impact.
• Identify legal and commercial risks and help mitigate them.
• Support coordination of legal matters at a Nordic level and take an active role in projects and process development.

Required profile

• Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree from a Finnish university.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience, in‑house or at a law firm.
• Strong knowledge of contract law; competition law knowledge is an advantage.
• Familiarity with environmental law and public procurement law is a plus.
• Ability to manage complex legal matters independently and provide clear, business‑focused advice.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, fluent in Finnish and English.
