Senior Security Engineer

About the role

The Supercell Information Security team is looking for a Senior Security Engineer to join its Helsinki office. The team provides information security insights, services and solutions for the whole company, working closely with the global IT team to design, build and automate security improvements that protect Supercell and its players while improving user experience. The role also covers improving detection and response to attacks on cloud infrastructure and securing AI use, including agent identities and access to data.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in defining what information security means at Supercell, on strategic and tactical levels.
• Work with the global IT team on all of their security needs.
• Help integrate security tooling into team and individual workflows in a pragmatic way.
• Facilitate security assessments, remediations and drive projects forward.
• Work with external consultants to implement parts of the information security toolkit.
• Help define AI strategy and safety protocols.
• Take part in on-call and incident response activities.

Required profile

• 5+ years of applicable experience.
• Ability to evaluate risk and design measured mitigations.
• Experience building tooling or automation that a team relies on; AI is part of daily work.
• Proactivity and a curious mind; able to explain security choices in plain terms.

Required skills

• Modern tooling: SSO, endpoint protection, logging and metrics, cloud-native deployments and security.
• IP networking, routing, firewalls, VLANs and network segregation.
• Nice to have: familiarity with security requirements, frameworks and tools; AWS or GCP infrastructure automation; hands-on experience with Okta, VMware Workspace One, Palo Alto Panorama and Cortex.
