Senior+ Product Designer / Builder

About the role

Swarmia helps software teams improve how they work and build software, and is looking for a Senior+ Product Designer / Builder to join its Dumbo team. The team builds the effort-effort model and products that help engineering organizations understand how they spend effort and budgets across projects. The role sits within an autonomous team that owns a product area and its context, and you will take part in customer research from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Ship new product changes every day, and sometimes several times a day.
• Work closely with engineers and your team lead, prioritizing synchronous collaboration to solve product problems together.
• Own the longer-term design vision of your team's product area.
• Own the business context and success metrics for the product area, together with your product counterpart.

Required profile

• 5+ years designing and building software, with an emphasis on building.
• Cross-functional approach, combining product expertise with some technical expertise.
• Knows when to rely on customer interviews versus product analytics, and knows how to run customer interviews at scale.
• Knows when to use Figma and when to build directly with Claude, and when to use AI and when not to.
• Can read code; making changes without relying on AI is a plus.
