Project Engineer - Grid Automation

About the role

Hitachi Energy, Grid Automation, is looking for a Project Engineer in Vaasa, Finland. You will be an important member of a project team, working on engineering tasks for MicroSCADA X control systems and related equipment, with the chance to take part in commissioning and customer training on site.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engineering and expert knowledge for MicroSCADA X control systems and related equipment to customers.
• Take part in domestic and export projects of various sizes as a technical engineer.
• Support the sales organization technically.
• Help end-customers so that projects run smoothly, customers are satisfied and long-term collaboration is built.

Required profile

• BSc or MSc in information technology or electrical engineering.
• Experience in project execution.
• Ability to solve complex problems, learn quickly and innovate.
• Good communication and presentation skills in Finnish and English; Swedish is an advantage.
• Good customer interface skills, able to work independently and in a team, and willing to travel.

Required skills

• Ideally familiarity with MicroSCADA X products.
• Experience with MicroSCADA Pro, MicroSCADA X, SDM600, IET600, RTU5xx and Cyber Security.
• Experience in critical communication networks and understanding of cyber security for control systems.
