Apprentice Machine Operator – PCB Assembly Line

About the role

Epec is a technology company in Seinäjoki that designs and manufactures control systems, electronics and electric power lines for industrial machines and commercial vehicles. Its electronics production uses a modern PCB assembly line, and it is looking for a new apprentice operator. No prior qualification is required: you learn on the job and complete the vocational qualification through an apprenticeship agreement while working.

Key responsibilities

• Run the assembly line according to the ERP system's work queue and keep both the machine and the quality in order throughout the process.
• Prepare the line runs and operate various machines in different stages: conveyors, laser printer, paste dispenser, pick-and-place machines, reflow oven, AOI (automated optical inspection), selective soldering machine and paint line.
• Maintain and clean the machines and record production in the ERP system.
• Work in shifts, mostly standing and moving between machines.

Required profile

• Strong desire to learn and commitment to completing the apprenticeship.
• Accuracy and care, because components are very small.
• Good teamwork and willingness to speak up if something looks wrong.
• Ability to follow instructions and work in shifts.

Required skills

• Basic computer literacy.
• Sufficient English to read documents and understand machine interfaces.
