Production Development Manager

About the role

ABB's Motion High Power division, within the Low Voltage System Drives business line, is looking for a Production Development Manager in Pitäjänmäki, Helsinki. The role reports to the Operations Manager, Finland, and covers production development in the Operations team, including planning, managing and executing the production development portfolio and leading production investment and development projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the production development portfolio and execute key production development projects with the Operations team and key stakeholders.
• Drive innovation in the production footprint and processes through automation improvements and new production technologies.
• Ensure productivity improvement through development activities and champion continuous improvement with LEAN principles.
• Ensure health, safety and environment requirements and targets are met.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders and work in a matrix organisation.

Required profile

• Several years of experience in production development management or production management.
• Experience and knowledge of frequency converter production or similar power electronics production.
• Demonstrated track record of operational performance improvement from a line manager role.
• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Engineering, Operations Management or another relevant field.
• Fluent English and Finnish.

• Change management and ability to work in multinational teams.
