Analytics Director

About the role

Small Giant Games, a top-performing mobile gaming company part of the Zynga and Take-Two Interactive family, is looking for a Director of Analytics to own and elevate its analytics strategy. The role leads a team of analysts, data engineers and developers and turns complex data into actionable recommendations and insights for the whole company.

Key responsibilities

• Define, plan and execute an analytics roadmap that supports the company's long-term business goals.
• Manage, mentor and foster the growth of a team of data analysts and specialists.
• Oversee the collection, consolidation and analysis of data across sources to ensure data integrity and accessibility.
• Define KPIs, identify emerging player trends and build advanced reports and visualizations.
• Translate complex datasets into clear, actionable insights for business units and executive leadership.
• Partner with other departments so analytics initiatives align with business objectives.
• Guide the development of an in-house analytics stack with robust data integration, portfolio-level data assets and accurate model outputs.

Required profile

• Deep understanding of Empires & Puzzles and Free-to-Play (F2P) gaming business models.
• Proven management skills and the ability to inspire technical teams.
• Strategic vision and a big-picture approach to analytics strategy.
• Ability to communicate complex technical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Required skills

• Advanced statistical modeling and data analysis.
• SQL, cloud platforms and databases such as AWS and Redshift.
• Data visualization tools such as Power BI or Looker.
