Operator

About the role

We are looking for motivated operators to join our permanent workforce at the SSAB coke plant in Raahe. You will work either in a 12‑hour three‑shift system or a regular 40‑hour day shift, contributing to safe and efficient coke production.

Key responsibilities

• Operate coke pot machines as a driver and/or act as a process controller on the coke pot, dry quench, or side‑product units.
• Collaborate with other plant personnel to ensure safe process operation.
• Maintain personal and process safety standards at all times.
• Potentially train for broader roles such as furnace monitoring in the future.

Required profile

• Technical basic education with emphasis on process engineering or relevant production experience.
• Strong safety awareness, initiative, and willingness to learn.
• Ability to adapt to changing situations and work in a physically demanding environment.
• Proficiency in Finnish language.
