Logistics Manager - Data Centre (Site Based)

About the role

Turner & Townsend is hiring a full-time, site-based Logistics Manager for a data centre project in Oulu. The role covers logistics strategy, vendor management and coordination of inbound and outbound deliveries, working closely with construction managers and engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement logistics strategies for materials such as steel, concrete, HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems.
• Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts and ensure compliance with specifications and delivery timelines.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics, including freight forwarding, customs clearance and site delivery.
• Oversee staging, storage and just-in-time delivery to minimise site congestion.
• Collaborate with construction managers and engineering teams to align logistics with project phases.
• Implement risk mitigation strategies such as buffer stock and alternative sourcing.
• Use ERP systems (e.g. SAP) and construction platforms to track procurement and delivery.
• Maintain dashboards and reports for stakeholders on logistics performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Construction Management or a related field.
• 5 to 7 years in logistics or supply chain roles, preferably in construction or infrastructure projects.
• Experience with data centre or large-scale industrial projects is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of supply chain processes, customs regulations and construction logistics.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills, and ability to manage multiple vendors and coordinate across teams.
