Trade and Logistics Specialist

About the role

ABB is looking for a Trade and Logistics Specialist to join its Motion Centre of Expertise - Logistics (CoE-L) organisation in Vaasa. The role reports to the CoE-L Manager and focuses on operational excellence, supporting business stakeholders and leading continuous improvement across global trade and logistics processes. The work model is hybrid.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee import and export operations, ensuring timely, accurate and compliant exchange of trade data with customs brokers and other stakeholders.
• Develop, maintain and analyse trade and customs reports, keeping data accurate, compliant and visible on key performance indicators.
• Manage transportation planning by optimising logistics resource use so freight moves efficiently and meet customer needs.
• Provide expert trade and logistics support to ABB businesses, including guidance and continuous improvement on transportation and trade processes.
• Own the LSP invoice validation and freight cost management process, ensuring charges are accurate and contractually compliant.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across trade and logistics.

Required profile

• BSc. or MSc. degree in a relevant field such as industrial management or commerce.
• Extensive knowledge of trade and logistics regulations.
• Fluent Finnish and English, written and spoken.
• Team player with good communication and collaboration skills, customer-oriented approach.
• Experience in transport management or freight forwarding is an advantage.

Required skills

• Extensive experience with SAP, GTS and TMS platforms.
• Extensive experience with MS Office.
