Business Controller

About the role

Valmet Automotive is seeking a commercially minded and analytically strong Business Controller to join its finance team. The role focuses on steering business performance and providing management with timely insights and forward‑looking analyses.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the annual budgeting process, prepare monthly forecasts and drive Long Range Planning (LRP).
• Analyse financial performance, business drivers, risks and opportunities and deliver actionable recommendations.
• Monitor and improve product, customer and project profitability analyses.
• Support strategic and operational decisions through business cases, scenario analyses and financial modelling.
• Ensure visibility of balance‑sheet development, working capital and cash‑flow performance.
• Collaborate with the accounting team to guarantee accurate monthly reporting.
• Develop financial processes, reporting and controlling practices to better support the business.

Required profile

• Relevant degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
• Experience in business controlling, financial planning and analysis or a similar finance role.
• Strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial performance management and profitability analysis.
• Good understanding of balance‑sheet management, cash‑flow and working‑capital dynamics.
• Proactive, business‑oriented attitude with strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Experience with Business Intelligence (BI) solutions.
