Senior UI Programmer

About the role

Remedy Entertainment is seeking a Senior UI Programmer to bring game user interfaces to life for next‑generation titles. You will work closely with UI/UX designers, gameplay programmers and engine engineers to build HUD widgets, menus and other UI components while shaping the underlying UI technology across projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop HUD widgets, menus and UI components in TypeScript and C++ and ship them in the game.
• Design and evolve the data layer and API that connects the Northlight engine to the UI frontend.
• Maintain and extend the UI framework built on Coherent Gameface, including data binding, live‑editing and audio/input integration.
• Collaborate with the engine team to profile, optimise and render UI efficiently on CPU, GPU and memory across all platforms.
• Support game teams in implementing game‑specific UI features such as maps, interaction markers and investigation boards, and participate in code reviews and documentation.

Required profile

• Proven experience shipping software where frame time and memory constraints were critical.
• Strong C++ expertise, including multithreaded programming.
• Fluency with the modern web stack – TypeScript, JSX and CSS preprocessing.
• Deep understanding of the DOM API, browser event loop and the performance cost of HTML/CSS operations.
