Software Engineer, Security

About the role

Join Hoxhunt’s Product Security team to build and scale security observability across a fast‑growing AI‑native security platform. You will own the pipeline that collects, processes and routes security events on Google Cloud, and turn manual security work into automated, code‑driven solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain a security event and log pipeline on GCP, delivering detections, alerts and dashboards as code through CI/CD.
• Own and extend security automation, including a vulnerability triager, remediation nudging, and scanning‑stack integrations (GitHub Advanced Security, dependency ownership, issue sync).
• Develop tooling for the GRC function and automate recurring manual security processes.
• Harden cloud security architecture with SRE/Platform teams: trust boundaries, IAM, least‑privilege, network egress, secrets and IaC.
• Contribute to AI‑assisted security tooling such as PR review and security review agents.

Required profile

• Several years of production software engineering experience, with a focus on building reliable, testable systems.
• Deep, hands‑on expertise with Google Cloud (IAM, networking, logging, eventing, containers, Kubernetes).
• Production experience in at least one of TypeScript, Python or Go and comfort working across all three in a monorepo.
• Experience building data/event pipelines, observability or detection tooling, treating them as version‑controlled software.
• Strong interest in security and willingness to use modern AI tools daily.
