Project Director – Data Centre Projects

About the role

Turner & Townsend is expanding its Data Centre team in Oulu, Finland. As a Project Director you will lead large‑scale, mission‑critical data centre projects, working directly with clients, contractors and designers to deliver complex construction programmes from feasibility through to completion.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage large‑scale data centre projects across the full project lifecycle, including feasibility, design, construction and handover.
• Develop and implement project strategies, detailed plans and large‑scale budgets for complex construction programmes.
• Establish and maintain effective processes and systems, monitor progress, report performance indicators and manage risks and issues.
• Prepare and deliver written communications, formal progress reports and presentation materials for client pitches.
• Coordinate and chair meetings with clients, contractors and designers, ensuring accurate minutes and action tracking.

Required profile

• University degree in a construction‑related field or equivalent trade qualification.
• Minimum 12 years of construction experience, including delivery of hyperscale data centre projects from inception to completion.
• Proven experience in client‑facing roles at senior levels.
• Relevant project or construction management qualification is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction industry practices, data centre sector trends and the full project lifecycle.
• Availability to work on‑site in Oulu.
