Innovative Finance Communication Consultant

About the role

UNICEF’s Innovative Finance Hub in Helsinki is seeking a Communication Consultant to lead the development and implementation of its Communication Plan. The consultant will enhance the visibility of the Hub’s initiatives, particularly the child‑lens investing strategy, and support both external advocacy and internal awareness.

Key responsibilities

• Design, produce and disseminate communication materials for external advocacy and stakeholder engagement.
• Develop internal communication assets to raise awareness of the Hub’s work among staff and partners.
• Provide timely visibility of activities, results and impact through various channels.
• Support the evolution and execution of the Hub’s communication strategy.
• Prepare monthly progress reports and track communication outcomes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in communications, public affairs or advocacy, preferably in an international or development context.
• Strong understanding of innovative finance concepts and child‑rights issues.
• Excellent writing and storytelling abilities for diverse audiences.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple deliverables within a 16‑month timeframe.
