Mechanical Lead – Data Centre Projects

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Lead to join our team on‑site in Helsinki, working on large‑scale data centre construction projects across Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of Mechanical Engineers.
• Propose design changes to improve cost efficiency, construction programme, and specification quality.
• Display commercial astuteness.
• Monitor construction quality of workmanship and materials.
• Coordinate with contracts manager, site engineers and other discipline leads to provide timely, accurate information to subcontractors and site personnel.
• Check and ensure understanding of drawings and specifications, communicating any errors or omissions to the design team promptly.
• Establish project resource requirements and motivate the project team.
• Oversee the highest standards of health and safety.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a relevant field.
• Strong knowledge of procurement.
• Experience in scheduling, programming, and sequencing.
• Proven ability to lead MEP teams effectively.
• Experience delivering Data Centre MEP projects.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
