Environment, Health and Safety Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Manager to support large-scale construction and data-centre projects in Finland. The role sits at the centre of project delivery, risk management and safety leadership, ensuring compliance with Finnish regulations and company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Support implementation and continuous improvement of EHS policies, procedures and management systems across projects.
• Ensure compliance with Finnish construction regulations, industry standards and company requirements.
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits and safety walks.
• Review risk assessments, method statements and permit-to-work processes.
• Monitor contractor EHS performance and support corrective and preventive actions.
• Support incident investigations, reporting activities and root‑cause analysis.
• Prepare and maintain EHS documentation, records and project reports.
• Deliver toolbox talks, safety briefings and support EHS training initiatives.
• Promote a positive safety culture and drive continuous improvement across site teams.

Required profile

• Proactive safety professional with strong communication skills.
• Practical construction experience and a passion for creating safe working environments.
• Comfortable working closely with project teams, subcontractors and stakeholders in fast‑paced projects.
• Experience in data-centre, mission‑critical, industrial or large‑scale construction projects.

Required skills

• Degree or qualification in Health & Safety, Environmental Management, Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in an EHS, HSE or Health & Safety role within construction, infrastructure or industrial projects.
• Good understanding of Finnish health and safety legislation and industry standards.
• Experience conducting audits, inspections and risk assessments.
• Familiarity with contractor management and permit‑to‑work systems.
• Relevant health and safety certifications are advantageous.
