Specialist, Inbound Logistics and Customs

About the role

The Specialist, Inbound Logistics and Customs supports day‑to‑day execution, compliance and continuous development of Orion Pharma’s import customs operations and international supply chains. Based in Espoo, the role blends operational tasks with process improvement in a dynamic regulatory environment.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily import logistics to ensure timely material flow to manufacturing sites.
• Maintain and audit customs‑related data, documentation and transactions.
• Monitor customs material movements, identify discrepancies and trigger corrective actions.
• Administer customs procedures, authorisations and special customs regimes.
• Book transportation in line with GxP requirements and verify related invoices.
• Track shipment status, resolve delays and manage exceptions.
• Contribute to the design and continuous improvement of customs and import logistics processes.
• Support implementation of new business requirements, supply‑chain models and regulatory changes.

Required profile

• University degree (B.Sc./M.Sc.) in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or related field.
• Previous experience in import/export, customs, freight forwarding or transportation management.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to investigate root causes.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in both Finnish and English.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems, especially SAP.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
