EMS Purchasing Manager

About the role

KONE, a global leader in the elevator and escalator industry, is looking for an experienced, business-driven EMS Purchasing Manager to join its Global Sourcing organization. Based in Espoo, Finland, the role develops and executes sourcing strategies for Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS), manages key supplier relationships and builds a competitive, resilient supply base supporting KONE's global business objectives. It works closely with Engineering, R&D, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Drive supplier performance, commercial competitiveness, technology alignment and risk management across the EMS supplier network
• Lead supplier negotiations and contract management
• Identify cost optimization opportunities and manage RFx and supplier selection processes
• Monitor supplier capacity and market developments
• Support the implementation of global sourcing strategies
• Build partnerships with EMS providers and electronics suppliers while meeting cost, quality, delivery and sustainability targets

Required profile

• Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field
• Minimum 7 years of experience in sourcing, purchasing, supply chain management or a related discipline
• At least 5 years of experience in the electronics industry
• Experience working with EMS providers and electronic component or semiconductor suppliers
• Proven experience managing complex sourcing and supplier development projects
• Fluent English, written and spoken; additional languages are an advantage
