Senior Project Manager – R&D & Technology Development

About the role

Join Neste’s Program Management team as a Senior Project Manager, leading high‑impact R&D and technology development projects that enable cost‑effective processing of diverse feedstocks and improve production efficiency. The role is based in the Helsinki metropolitan area (including Porvoo) and is a fixed‑term assignment until 31 October 2027.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, scope and launch R&D and technology development projects together with steering managers and subject‑matter experts.
• Define project scope, synchronize activities and deliverables, and ensure alignment with agreed targets.
• Manage projects safely and in compliance with Neste’s operating model, controlling schedule, cost and quality.
• Secure and allocate competent resources, lead and coach the project team, and maintain team spirit.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive technology advantage for short‑ and long‑term business goals.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing complex R&D or technology development projects in an industrial setting.
• Strong ability to coordinate cross‑functional teams and communicate with senior stakeholders.
• Commitment to safety, quality and sustainability principles.
• Willingness to work onsite at least three days a week while embracing flexible, hybrid ways of working.
