EMS Purchasing Manager (Global Sourcing)

About the role

KONE is seeking an experienced EMS Purchasing Manager to join its Global Sourcing organization. In this strategic position you will shape sourcing strategies for Electronics Manufacturing Services, manage key supplier relationships and ensure a resilient, high‑performing supply base that supports KONE’s global business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for EMS providers worldwide.
• Lead supplier negotiations, contract management and cost‑optimization initiatives.
• Manage RFx processes, supplier selection and performance monitoring.
• Monitor supplier capacity, market developments and risk factors.
• Collaborate with Engineering, R&D, Operations, Quality and Supply Chain to align technology and sustainability goals.
• Build strong partnerships with EMS and electronic component suppliers to meet cost, quality, delivery and sustainability targets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of sourcing or purchasing experience, with at least 5 years in the electronics industry.
• Proven experience working with EMS providers and electronic component or semiconductor suppliers.
• Strong knowledge of PCBA manufacturing, electronics sourcing and supply‑chain processes.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex sourcing and supplier‑development projects.
