Senior Manager, Special Logistics - Central

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Manager, Special Logistics to join Metso’s Services Supply Chain organization and lead the Central Special Logistics region (ECA & AFR). In this role you will oversee a team of logistics professionals, drive operational excellence and continuous improvement, and ensure reliable customer deliveries across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a regional team of Special Logistics professionals, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Drive reliable and compliant execution of specialized logistics processes that require close coordination with suppliers, customers, logistics partners and internal stakeholders.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for critical delivery challenges, ensuring timely resolution and minimizing business impact.
• Analyse operational performance, delivery trends and key metrics to identify risks and opportunities, translating insights into actionable improvement initiatives.
• Lead transformation and change‑management initiatives, promoting adoption of new digital solutions and continuous learning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business or a related field.
• Several years of leadership experience in logistics, supply chain or transportation within an international environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with proven ability to use performance data for decision‑making and process improvement.
• Demonstrated capability to lead high‑performing, multi‑location teams and manage complex logistics operations.
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills across functions and organizational levels.
