Senior Electrical Engineer

About the role

Konecranes is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join the Electrical Engineering Technology support team. You will design electrical systems for equipment such as VFDs, LV distribution, PLCs with fieldbus communications, and produce all related documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Perform basic electrical calculations, power‑supply design, drive selection and cable sizing.
• Create electrical documentation including diagrams, parts lists, cable lists and layout drawings for manufacturing and final customer delivery.
• Ensure manufacturing receives all necessary data to build power and control systems according to specifications.
• Collaborate closely with lead engineers, mechanical engineers, suppliers, supervisors and Technology Core teams.
• Support project coordination, business lines and manufacturing throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide technical assistance to manufacturing and resolve technical questions.
• Utilise tools such as Zuken E3, Siemens TeamCenter, SAP and ERMS.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical design using tools like E3, Eplan or AutoCAD.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical or Automation Engineering.
• Experience with international delivery projects.
• Basic knowledge of inverters/VF drives and PLC systems.
• Familiarity with PLM tools such as TeamCenter is an advantage.
• Fluency in English; Finnish or additional languages are a plus.
