About the role
Manufacture, assemble, inspect and integrate electrical harnesses for spacecraft platforms and payloads, ensuring compliance with aerospace and space industry standards. The technician works autonomously from engineering documentation and must deliver the highest levels of quality, reliability and workmanship required for satellite applications.
Key responsibilities
- Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, harness drawings and manufacturing documentation.
- Manufacture, assemble and inspect spacecraft electrical harnesses, including wire preparation, crimping, soldering, connector assembly, shielding and harness dressing.
- Perform electrical testing, continuity checks and quality inspections in accordance with space and aerospace standards.
- Integrate platform and payload harnesses within the spacecraft, routing, securing and connecting them to onboard equipment and subsystems.
- Ensure compliance with workmanship, quality, traceability, grounding, bonding and safety requirements throughout all manufacturing and integration activities.
Required profile
- Minimum 5 years of experience in satellite or spacecraft electrical harness manufacturing and integration.
- Proven experience working in clean‑room environments.
- Strong knowledge of ESA, ECSS, IPC/WHMA‑A‑620 or equivalent aerospace workmanship standards.
- Experience with crimping, soldering, shield termination, connector assembly and harness integration.
- Ability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics and harness drawings.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality and traceability requirements.
- Proficient with computer tools and digital manufacturing documentation (work instructions, technical drawings, ERP/MES systems, Microsoft Office).
- Effective communication in English, both written and spoken.
