Product Engineer – Forming and Dryer Fabrics

About the role

Join Valmet’s Forming and Dryer Fabrics team as a Product Engineer, supporting products essential to paper production worldwide. You will combine technical expertise, analytical thinking, and cross‑functional collaboration to manage product lifecycles, drive development, and deliver continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Support day‑to‑day product management activities across the Forming and Dryer Fabrics portfolio.
• Prepare technical materials, documentation, and sales support tools.
• Analyze product performance, quality, and operational data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Participate in product development, testing, and continuous improvement with R&D and laboratory teams.
• Collaborate with production, sales, R&D, and laboratory functions to solve technical and commercial challenges.
• Assist customers and contribute to initiatives that enhance product performance and value.
• Develop expertise across the full value chain, from manufacturing processes to customer applications.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a structured approach.
• Positive, proactive attitude toward learning and continuous improvement.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with international, cross‑functional teams.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.
