Maintenance Technician (Huoltoteknikko)

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Maintenance Technician to keep the Northern Lights Village resort in Saariselkä safe, operational and welcoming for guests and staff. The role involves daily upkeep of the facilities, responding quickly to maintenance requests and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily maintenance tasks and conduct regular inspections of resort facilities.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff.
• Ensure all safety regulations and standards are adhered to.
• Collaborate with external contractors when specialised work is required.

Required profile

• Previous experience in maintenance or building upkeep.
• Ability to use various tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Valid B‑category driving licence.
• Basic English communication skills (spoken and written).
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Capability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Advantage: vocational training in plumbing, electrical work or related field, knowledge of piping and electrical systems, fluent Finnish.

• Hourly wage of approximately €18 (adjusted for experience).
