Assistant Front Desk Manager

About the role

The Assistant Front Desk Manager supports the Front Desk Manager in delivering industry‑leading service to guests, coaching the Guest Services team and ensuring smooth daily operations at the desk.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Front Desk Manager in planning and balancing front desk schedules per voyage, ensuring proper coverage during peak and slow periods.
• Supervise and coach the Guest Services team, handling guest inquiries, lost luggage, cash services, safety deposit boxes, lost and found, printing, Sea Pass cards, and ship announcements.
• Address guest feedback proactively, resolve issues, and maintain high guest satisfaction scores.
• Assign duties, evaluate performance, and use performance management tools such as action plans and progressive discipline.

Required profile

• Minimum one year front‑of‑house supervisory experience in a hotel, cruise line or related hospitality setting.
• Strong ability to interact diplomatically with guests and staff, handling sensitive situations with discretion and tact.
• Flexibility to work across the fleet and adapt to changing operational needs.

Required skills

• Proficient use of Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
• Knowledge of US cash handling procedures and foreign exchange operations.
