Junior Financial Specialist

About the role

Sofigate is looking for a motivated and proactive Junior Financial Specialist to join its international Finance team in Helsinki. The role offers hands-on experience in a broad range of financial administration tasks, with practical day-to-day work in finance operations and gradual increase in responsibility.

Key responsibilities

• Process purchase invoices and manage accounts payable activities
• Process travel claims
• Handle bookkeeping and month-end activities
• Handle finance-related internal requests and support tickets
• Prepare reports, carry out data analysis and other finance-related tasks
• Take part in finance development initiatives and other project-based assignments

Required profile

• Early-career finance professional, ideally in the final stages of higher education in finance or accounting or recently graduated
• Some previous experience in financial administration, for example bookkeeping, invoicing or accounts payable
• Genuine interest in finance and accounting, willingness to develop expertise, proactive and responsible approach, enjoyment of teamwork
• Structured, detail-oriented approach with strong numerical skills and accuracy
• Fluency in both Finnish and English

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and key finance processes
• Good Excel and general MS Office skills, with an understanding of how AI tools can streamline finance processes
• Experience with financial management systems such as Rillion and NetSuite is a plus but not required
