VAT Manager

About the role

Wolt, part of DoorDash, is looking for a VAT Manager to act as an in‑house advisor on VAT matters across the business. You will work closely with Finance, Legal, Business and Product teams, translating VAT rules into clear, practical guidance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide VAT advisory support to multiple teams and projects across the business.
• Review new products and features for their VAT treatment and implications.
• Review contracts from a VAT perspective, flagging risks and suggesting language.
• Identify, assess and manage VAT risks.
• Support VAT audits, coordinating with tax authorities and internal stakeholders.
• Support specific reporting obligations, such as CESOP, as a subject‑matter expert.

Required profile

• Enjoy variety and can manage several projects at once.
• Comfortable explaining VAT concepts to non‑tax colleagues.
• Willing to take ownership and work well in an autonomous environment.
• Solid experience in VAT, including advisory work.
• Experience with tax audits.
• Strong communication skills to translate VAT rules into practical, non‑technical guidance.
