In-House Technical Translator (Finnish)

About the role

LocalEyes Group provides localization services to the international tech sector, with headquarters in Ireland and subsidiaries in Europe. It is looking for an experienced, highly motivated in-house technical translator to deliver technical translations and adaptations for software. The role is full-time, onsite in Finland, within a fast-paced international team that works with other localization teams and global engineering and QA teams.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical translations and adaptations for software, including UI content.
• Work with other localization teams, as well as global engineering and QA teams.
• Manage terminology and style parameters, and drive terminology decisions.

Required profile

• Native in Finnish, excellent written and spoken English, and 100% fluent in English.
• Degree in Applied Linguistics, Translation, Culture & Literature or equivalent.
• 1-3 years of experience as a translator for major IT accounts in the localization industry.
• Experience establishing terminology and style parameters for a language, and with UI translation for high-end software.
• Current and sustained exposure to Finnish culture.

Required skills

• Knowledge and experience of CAT tools and SDL Studio.
• Experience with localization and internationalization, UX writing, and QA.
• Experience with programming languages and natural language processing is a plus.
• Ability to handle embedded variables in XML content, a plus.

The position runs from May 4 to October 30, 2026, in Finland, with an attractive salary.
