Group Controller

About the role

NestAI is seeking a Group Controller to build and own the financial backbone for its international expansion. You will be responsible for statutory accounting, tax compliance and multi‑entity consolidation as the company launches new subsidiaries across Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and manage monthly, quarterly and annual group consolidation processes for all international subsidiaries.
• Own the accuracy of local statutory books under Finnish Accounting Standards and other GAAPs, and execute transfer‑pricing, inter‑company billing, cross‑border VAT and corporate tax filings.
• Lead the end‑to‑end accounts payable workflow in the Light Inc. ERP, collaborating with the Accountant while maintaining workflow integrity.
• Champion finance automation within the Light Inc. ERP stack, eliminating manual steps and implementing internal controls for procurement, travel expenses and payroll.
• Serve as the primary contact for Big 4 auditors, ensuring clean audit trails and establishing financial KPIs such as close‑cycle time and reconciliation accuracy.

Required profile

• 5+ years of accounting/controlling experience, preferably in high‑growth tech or defence/industrial sectors.
• Hands‑on experience with multi‑entity group consolidation and statutory reporting across several jurisdictions.
• Solid knowledge of Finnish Accounting Standards (FAS) and practical understanding of transfer‑pricing principles.
• Proven track record as the main interface for external auditors (EY, PwC, Deloitte, KPMG).
• Flawless professional communication in English and a self‑directed mindset that thrives in ambiguity.
