Financial Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail‑oriented Financial Accountant to own core financial operations, ensuring accurate daily transactions, complex month‑end and year‑end closings, and strict compliance with statutory and tax requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare recurring monthly journals, perform comprehensive bank reconciliations and manage fixed‑asset and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Handle end‑to‑end accounts payable and receivable processes, including payment file creation, VAT code review, and payment reminders.
• Oversee daily cash‑flow management, manual payment requests, and corporate payments such as tax, VAT, and employer contributions.
• Take full ownership of VAT processes, statutory reporting, and act as primary contact for tax authorities.
• Support payroll and employee expense management, including travel claim approvals and data transfers to the accounting system.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of general accounting experience.
• ACA or ACCA qualification.
• Strong understanding of accounting best practices, VAT and tax compliance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, time‑management and self‑driven work ethic.

Required skills

• Experience with general ledger, account reconciliations and month‑end/year‑end closing.
• Proficiency in managing accounts payable/receivable and corporate tax processes.
• Ability to work with globally‑distributed financial systems.
