Electrical Construction Manager

About the role

A data center delivery partner, based in Dublin and active across Europe, is building several turnkey data center projects in seven European countries, covering more than 430 MW of IT load. It is looking for an Electrical Construction Manager to take ownership of critical electrical construction activities on these projects.

Key responsibilities

• Manage site quality assurance with the QA Manager so that all work meets the highest standards.
• Oversee the project schedule with the project team and prepare two-week look-aheads.
• Plan and maintain labour resources in line with project needs.
• Supervise subcontractors, monitoring progress against schedules and manpower trackers.
• Report all variations and delays to Project Management.
• Check that plant and materials match specifications and are safely stored on site.
• Support project close-out, including O&M manuals, punch lists, safety and QA files and material handovers, with the Site Project Manager.
• Enforce health and safety requirements, promote safe working practices, drive continuous safety improvement and keep high housekeeping standards.
• Complete weekly "Don't Walk By" safety cards and work with Package Managers on company procedures.
• Manage change control so that cost and programme impacts are captured and addressed.

Required profile

• Relevant electrical qualification, such as a City & Guilds certificate, HNC/BTEC or NVQ.
• 5+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably on large-scale projects such as data centers, industrial, pharmaceutical or mission-critical facilities.
• Proven ability to manage subcontractors, labour, schedules and costs.
• Experience with change control, variations and project reporting.
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of LV/MV electrical systems, QA and safety compliance.
• Proficiency in MS Project or similar tools.
• Commitment to health and safety and a positive safety culture.
