Development Engineer – MEMS Wafer Technology (Espoo)

About the role

As a Development Engineer you will drive the creation of MEMS wafer processes for cutting‑edge micromechanical products, working within Bosch’s international MEMS network and collaborating closely with cross‑functional experts.

Key responsibilities

• Design, prototype and industrialise wafer processes for MEMS sensors in Bosch’s German semiconductor fabs.
• Plan and execute experiments, analyse data from sample runs, Design of Experiments (DoE) and manufacturing material to optimise process performance.
• Evaluate technical and economic feasibility of new technologies and materials.
• Lead problem‑solving activities during development and industrialisation, including quality assessments and process releases.

Required profile

• Master’s, Diploma or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Strong expertise in MEMS/semiconductor technology development, preferably within the Finnish technology ecosystem.
• Excellent understanding of physical principles, analytical methods and statistical data analysis.
• Proactive, communicative and able to work under pressure in an international environment.
