Construction (Site) Logistics Manager

About the role

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Construction (Site) Logistics Manager to develop and execute logistics strategies for large‑scale construction projects. You will coordinate the flow of critical materials such as steel, concrete, HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems, ensuring timely delivery and minimal site congestion.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement logistics plans for material procurement, storage and just‑in‑time delivery.
• Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts and monitor compliance with specifications and delivery schedules.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics, including freight forwarding, customs clearance and on‑site delivery.
• Oversee staging areas, storage facilities and delivery sequencing to reduce site bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with construction managers and engineering teams to align logistics with project phases.
• Develop risk mitigation measures such as buffer stock and alternative sourcing options.
• Utilise ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and construction platforms to track procurement, delivery and performance metrics.
• Produce dashboards and regular reports for stakeholders on logistics performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Construction Management or a related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in logistics or supply chain roles, preferably on construction or infrastructure projects.
• Experience with data‑center or large‑scale industrial projects is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of supply‑chain processes, customs regulations and construction logistics.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
