UX Designer – 12‑month Fixed‑Term (Hybrid, Helsinki)

About the role

Aiforia is seeking a talented UX/Product Designer to join the team behind Aiforia Create, its market‑leading tool for building deep‑learning AI models for pathology image analysis. This 12‑month fixed‑term position is hybrid, based in Helsinki, and focuses on turning complex AI model‑building workflows into intuitive, user‑friendly experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Own the design process for Aiforia Create, translating user needs into clear, easy‑to‑use interfaces.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and end‑users to shape what gets built.
• Improve user flows to increase efficiency for pathologists and scientists.
• Conduct on‑site user observations, interviews, and usability testing.
• Turn complex image‑analysis AI concepts into confident, usable flows.
• Work with designers from other teams to maintain consistency across products.

Required profile

• 5+ years of UX/Product design experience on SaaS and B2B software, preferably as the sole designer.
• Proven ability to simplify technical domains into intuitive user experiences.
• Strong visual, UI, and interaction design skills, especially for data‑dense interfaces.
• Hands‑on experience with user research methods such as observation, interviews, and usability testing.
• Comfortable working in fast‑paced environments with rapid design iterations.
• Excellent collaboration skills with developers, product owners, and stakeholders.
• Valid authorization to work in Finland.

Required skills

• Fluent in Figma for design and prototyping.
• Fluent written and oral English.
• Familiarity with machine‑learning or AI concepts (plus).
