Lead Designer – Deck Outfitting (Basic Design)

About the role

We are seeking a Lead Designer for basic design within our Deck Outfitting Design team. You will oversee deck outfitting design tasks throughout the shipbuilding project life‑cycle, coordinating with designers, production specialists, customers and classification societies.

Key responsibilities

• Delegate and supervise design‑ and procurement‑related work, resolving design solutions together with the team.
• Report design progress, procurement updates and budget performance to the project manager and department head.
• Prepare and monitor project budgets and resource needs in collaboration with the project organisation.

Required profile

• Experience in the marine industry or shipbuilding, with a technical background.
• Technical education (B.Sc. or M.Sc.) and ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Team‑player attitude, strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks.
