Software Engineer

About the role

As a Software Engineer at Elekta you will design, develop and deliver innovative software solutions that support life‑changing healthcare technology. You will work in an Agile, cross‑functional environment, contributing across the full software development lifecycle and collaborating closely with teams worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and maintain high‑quality software applications, including RESTful APIs and micro‑service based systems.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate requirements into scalable products and participate in architecture discussions.
• Develop and maintain automated unit, integration, end‑to‑end and performance tests to ensure reliable delivery.
• Identify, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
• 3‑5 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken.

Required skills

• Python or C# (.NET Core) for building RESTful APIs and event‑driven systems.
• Experience with microservice architecture, TypeScript, Angular SPA development.
• Good understanding of SQL databases and test automation best practices.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, cloud‑native technologies and Kubernetes.
