Service Project Manager - Power Systems

About the role

Hitachi Energy Finland is looking for a Service Project Manager to join its Service Business Unit. The role is full-time and hybrid, combining remote work, office work and regular site visits, with travel mainly within Finland. The primary location is Lappeenranta, Vaasa or Vantaa, though other Finnish locations may be considered depending on qualifications.

Key responsibilities

• Manage service agreements with customers and act as the main point of contact, building long-term, trust-based relationships.
• Provide sales and maintenance services for power distribution together with Service Sales, and deliver high-end specialist services.
• Act as Project Manager for service projects, overseeing maintenance and service activities and reviewing work on site.
• Take an active role in leading and supporting maintenance work in the field when required.
• Handle and coordinate warranty jobs, keeping customers connected with the sales team.

Required profile

• B.Sc. in electrical engineering and relevant experience with power systems, or other suitable education and extensive experience with power systems.
• Experience in power system service or maintenance.
• Valid driver's licence.
• Excellent written and spoken Finnish; basic English.
• Solution-oriented, safety-first mindset, quality-focused and committed to long-term objectives.

Required skills

• Basic IT skills and ability to learn modern engineering applications.
• Electrical qualification level 1, or eligibility to obtain it, is an advantage.
• Advantages: understanding of power quality, relay protection and communication; basics of substation design; knowledge of commercial contracts.
