Senior DevOps Engineer – MarTech

About the role

Nordea is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to shape the next generation of analytics and marketing capabilities for its digital banking platforms. You will work in a hybrid model from the Nordea Campus in Helsinki, collaborating with data, engineering and business teams to deliver high‑scale solutions on GCP and Snowflake.

Key responsibilities

• Own infrastructure automation, pipeline orchestration and deployment strategies for large analytical workloads on GCP and Snowflake.
• Design and build robust CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Bitbucket Pipelines and SonarQube for data jobs, micro‑services and models.
• Create and maintain Ansible templates and deployment scripts (Bash, Python, Groovy) for cloud and on‑prem environments.
• Monitor, troubleshoot and optimise system performance, scaling and cost efficiency with Sysdig and Splunk.
• Partner with security teams to enforce IAM, PAM, SSL and platform security controls.
• Mentor engineering teams on DevOps best practices and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Strong ownership mindset, able to collaborate across engineering and business teams.
• Passion for automating manual processes and building reliable platform tooling.
• Analytical thinker with experience solving complex network, IAM or compute issues in hybrid environments.
• Clear communicator who can translate infrastructure complexity for non‑technical stakeholders.

Required skills

• Infrastructure as Code with Ansible (4+ years).
• Google Cloud Platform services (IAM, GKE, VPC, networking) and GCP certification preferred.
• Container orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes.
• CI/CD tools: Git, Groovy, Bitbucket, Jenkins, SonarQube.
• Big data ecosystems: Hadoop, HDFS, Hive, Snowflake.
• Security knowledge: OWASP Top 10, Sysdig Secure, SBOM.
• Observability: Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk.
• Advanced Linux/Unix administration and scripting (Bash, Python).
