Senior Business Development Manager – BESS

About the role

Huawei is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to drive growth of utility‑scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and PV inverter solutions in Finland. You will lead the full sales cycle, from opportunity identification to contract closure, and represent Huawei at industry events.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic sales plans to expand Huawei's presence in the Finnish renewable energy market.
• Identify and nurture new business opportunities with utilities, IPPs, project developers, EPCs, investors and large energy users.
• Manage BESS opportunities through tender, RFI/RFP processes and commercial negotiations.
• Collaborate with internal solution, engineering, legal and delivery teams to create competitive technical and commercial proposals.
• Monitor market developments, regulations, grid requirements and competitor activities in the Finnish BESS and PV sectors.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in the energy, renewable energy, battery storage or infrastructure sector.
• Strong understanding of utility‑scale BESS and PV markets, including project development, grid services and commercial structures.
• Proven business development, complex solution sales or strategic account management experience.
• Good knowledge of the Finnish renewable energy market, regulatory environment and grid infrastructure.
• Fluent Finnish and excellent English communication skills.

Required skills

• Technical knowledge of BESS technologies such as Power Conversion Systems (PCS), Energy Management Systems (EMS), battery systems and grid integration.
• Commercial negotiation and stakeholder management capabilities.
